Develop the ability to aurally identify minor intervals and 7th chords , building stronger ear training. Understand the relationship between a major key and its relative minor , such as F major and D minor. Practice playing and writing in F major, D minor, G major , reinforcing key transitions. Learn to build diatonic triads and 7th chords , including dominant and half-diminished (minor 7♭5) chords. Work with the major pentatonic scale , and compose and perform a short, 8-measure piece using chord progressions and this scale.
